Journey Toward LLC

We are continuing our movement toward the Library Learning Commons model.  This means for the most part, a flexible schedule for book exchanges, providing more time throughout the week to allow collaboration between the Teacher Librarian and teachers to offer inquiry, critical literacy, digital literacy, technology etc!   Now that our bright links projector is in place we are equipped to teach these 21 century important life long lessons!

This year we have new rocker gaming chairs for children to “Rock and Read”.  They have been wildly popular so far!

We are awaiting our two new IPADs that will serve as our library catalog stations to allow students to develop more independence in searching for relevant books and extend their growing awareness of the library.

The possibility of rearranging the picture books into themed categories for easier browsing for the littlest of our patrons is still on the radar and potentially a goal for this year.

We have added a new  cafe style standing table for those students who prefer to stand rather than sit.
