SFU – Entrance Awards & Bursaries

SFU is offering several entrance awards and bursaries for new students. Deadlines for applications are April 30th, 2022.

Fairfax Entrance Bursary

  • Value: $30,000 ($3,000 x 10 installments over 5 years max)
  • Number: 2
  • Minimum 90% admission evaluation required
  • Citizenship: Canadian or Permanent Resident of Canada
  • Must be graduating from a Canadian High School

Alan and Margaret Eyre Entrance Bursary

  • Value: $20,000 ($2,500 x 8 installments over 4 years max)
  • Number: 2
  • Must be admitted and majoring in an undergraduate degree program in the Beedie School of Business
  • Citizenship: Canadian or Permanent Resident of Canada
  • Must be graduating from a Canadian High School

Erm Fiorillo-Hal Davis CKNW Orphan’s Fund Bursary

H.Y. Louie and Lohn Entrance Award

  • Value: $5,000 (1 installment)
  • Number: 25
  • Citizenship: Any

Supporting Documents Required:

  • One (1) Community Reference Letter
  • A summary of your achievements and activities demonstrating your involvement:
    provide clear, concise details about your volunteer work, school or community involvement, extracurricular activities, and artistic or athletic interests (500 words max)

Y.P. Heung Foundation Entrance Award

  • Value: $3,000 (1 installment)
  • Number: 15
  • Citizenship: Canadian or Permanent Resident of Canada
  • Must be admitted to the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciencesor Faculty of Science
  • At least three (3) of these awards will be made available to Indigenous students

Supporting Documents Required:

  • One (1) Community Reference Letter
  • A summary of your achievements and activities demonstrating your involvement:
    provide clear, concise details about your volunteer work, school or community involvement, extracurricular activities, and artistic or athletic interests (500 words max)
