    The Listening Tree
    by Celia Barker Lottridge

‘The Listening Tree’ is about a nine year old girl who lives in Saskatchewan and is running out of food because of drought. her father goes away in search of a new job while Ellen(the girl) moves away to Toronto with an aunt of hers. her aunt shows her and her mother their room which has an attachment and in front of the window there is a tree which Ellen climbs into and listens to her neighbors. when she finds out that her neighbor’s house and home is in danger, she takes action and does the best she can.

i highly recommend this book to you. i recommend it because you get to experience Ellen’s thoughts and feelings… through wonderful words. i think it’s like a huge adventure… in a small world. i LOVED IT.(!) I SO RECOMMEND IT!!!!

i give this book… 5/5 stars!!!!!!!!!!! (oh yeah!) the ONLY THING i didn’t like was that it was a cliff hanger!!:( that was disappointing! other wise…nothing. i want you all to read this book and experience the awesomeness of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

    THANK YOU!!
