Bibliography / Citations

Regardless of whether or not a Citation List or Bibliography is part of the criteria for your assignment, it is expected that you will produce one to accompany your research or work.  A Citation List provides your teacher with access to the resources you used and helps you to avoid using someone else’s work without giving them proper credit (plagiarism).

The most commonly used form of citations at Burnaby Mountain is MLA or Modern Languages Assoc. format.

Psychology students should be using APA (American Psychological Assoc.) format.

Guidelines for both are downloadable and printable.

Citefast Citation Maker will make your life a lot simpler as it finds and formats citations for you.   If you haven’t used Citefast, stop by the library for a quick tutorial with Mrs. Williams.
