Attn Grade 11-12 students interested in pursuing a career in Science or the Biomedical field: UBC event on May 13

Grade 11-12 students are encouraged to register for UBC’s virtual symposium Stem Cell Talks on May 13th, 2021.  

What is Stem Cell Talks? 

  • Stem Cell Talks is a science outreach program run by graduate student volunteers, sponsored and founded by Let’s Talk Science and Stem Cell NetworkEach year, our symposium on UBC campus attracts more than 200 students. However, this year we are moving our event online due to the pandemic and planning a special theme, “Stem Cell and the Respiratory System”, to introduce the role of stem cells in repairing tissue damage in the lung and strategies and technologies to investigate and combat Covid disease.

What is included in our event? 

  • Students will receive a virtual Workbook prior to the event, with detailed information about each lecture and activity. During the event, there will be a knowledge contest about what have been shown in Demos and lectures and top-ranked students can win prizes.
