Depth and Complexity

Sandra Kaplan’s Depth and Complexity model allows teachers to facilitate the in-depth study of any given topic in order to enrich student learning. The elements of Depth and Complexity are skills and strategies necessary to encourage curiosity and thinking skills in students. It provides a variety of pathways for all students to observe, organize and make sense of information.
