Technology Education

Technology Education includes courses in Drafting, Electronics & Robotics, Metalwork, and Woodwork.  Students who are creative and joy working with their hands, will enjoy what this department has to offer.

Drafting is a great course that will help students obtain a working knowledge of the fundamentals in design and drafting. The drafting courses will go over the use and understanding of different tools used in the industry, as well as the terminology that is needed to be successful if the student were to pursue a career in this field.

Electronics & Robotics is an applied skills course that incorporates both electronics and robotics in where students will learn the basics of circuitry – names of components, their functions, schematic symbols and diagrams and the layout of circuit boards, breadboarding, etc. They also get to delve into robotics, primarily using VEX robotics as the resource of learning.

Woodwork is where students will learn the basics of woodworking. Students will have a prescribed project that will help them to develop a broad set of skills and knowledge of machines, while using it all in a safe manner.
