Course Description:

METALWORK 9 – This is an applied skills course in where students will learn the basics of metalworking. Students will gain a variety of skills needed to manipulate different metals and materials in order to create their projects. This includes milling, welding and sheet metal work. Students will have a set of prescribed projects that will develop a range of skills.

EVALUATION: This course is project based – Students will be marked on their participation in class, and the quality of the projects that are turned in. *There will be a mandatory safety test at the beginning of the year that students must pass in order to work in the shop.*
