Course Description:

In this course you will learn basic accounting concepts. It is an Applied Skill where you will learn how to create business forms (balance sheet, income statements), keep track of a company’s profits, and how to understand basic financial information. You will work out of a workbook that is provided in class. Class time is provided for practice assignments.

 Evaluation: 

Evaluation is primarily based on individual assignments and chapter tests. There may be occasional group assignments.

Who should take this course?

Students who enjoy a very structured classroom environment will enjoy this course. Students registered in ESL 1 may find the vocabulary too difficult. This course is for students who are interested in how businesses keep track of how much money they make. Students should also have basic arithmetic skills for this course
