AP Statistics\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>is an introductory college-level statistics course that introduces students to the major concepts and tools for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data. Students cultivate their understanding of statistics using technology, investigations, problem solving, and writing as they explore concepts like variation and distribution; patterns and uncertainty; and data-based predictions, decisions, and conclusions.<\/span><\/p>\n AP Statistics covers four major areas: exploring data, planning a study,\u00a0probability, and statistical inference. \n<\/strong>The class grade in this course will be based on chapter tests, assignments and projects. In order to receive university credit students will be required to obtain a score of 3 or higher on the AP Statistics exam in May.
