{"id":3065,"date":"2022-11-16T12:04:00","date_gmt":"2022-11-16T20:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/south-counselling\/?p=3065"},"modified":"2022-11-16T12:04:00","modified_gmt":"2022-11-16T20:04:00","slug":"michael-j-fox-is-hiring-ushers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/south-counselling\/2022\/11\/16\/michael-j-fox-is-hiring-ushers\/","title":{"rendered":"Michael J Fox is HIRING USHERS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Hi Burnaby South!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>MICHAEL J FOX IS NOW HIRING USHERS<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Responsibilities Include: <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Acting as an ambassador of the Michael J Fox Theatre and making a great first and last impression with every client, patron and visitor the Theatre.<\/li>\n<li>Greeting patrons and visitors in a clear and polite manner.<\/li>\n<li>Checking and tearing tickets and escorting patrons to their assigned seating.<\/li>\n<li>Regulating flow of patrons and guests in and out of the theatre.<\/li>\n<li>Responding to patron and guest inquiries regarding events and amenities.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring auditorium and lobby to ensure Theatre policies and etiquette are enforced.<\/li>\n<li>Watching for safety or security issues (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious persons, etc.) and reporting to management.<\/li>\n<li>Exhibiting the ability to engage with multiple patrons and guests, prioritizing interactions and providing outstanding service.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining order and preventing panic in a crisis.<\/li>\n<li>Performing other work-related duties as assigned by management.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><u>Experience &amp; Qualifications:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be Grade 10 \u2013 12 (15 years of age or older) and legal to work in Canada.<\/li>\n<li>Must be available to work a variable schedule, including weekdays after 3:30pm, weekends, and shifts from morning through late night with regular and consistent attendance.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and team-oriented work environment.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patrons of all ages, genders, and personalities, fellow Front of House team members, and management, to provide exceptional guest service<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with noise levels that may be moderate to high at times.<\/li>\n<li>Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.<\/li>\n<li>Position will require frequent standing, bending\/kneeling, lifting and carrying.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to effectively and regularly converse in and comprehend in English.
