<\/strong><span style=\"color: #31c431\"><strong>UBC<\/strong><\/span> have made <strong>A LOT<\/strong> of changes this past year regarding what their prerequisites and faculty requirements are:\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #31c431\"><strong>SFU:<\/strong><\/span> <em>students must complete a MINIMUM of 5 approved Grade 12 Courses, including ALL required courses<\/em>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Admission is based on an evaluation of all approved Grade 11 and 12 courses, with greater emphasis on List A courses.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfu.ca\/students\/admission\/admission-requirements.html\">https:\/\/www.sfu.ca\/students\/admission\/admission-requirements.html<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #31c431\"><strong>UBC:<\/strong><\/span> <em>UBC will be adopting a\u00a0<\/em><em><a href=\"https:\/\/you.ubc.ca\/applying-ubc\/applied\/application-evaluation\/\">comprehensive approach to admissions<\/a><\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><em>that focuses primarily on your marks in academic courses, but also considers the breadth, rigour, and relevancy of your coursework.<\/em>\n<ul>\n<li><em>No matter what degree you are applying to, UBC will broadly evaluate your academic history by looking at your grades in ALL academic Grade 11 and Grade 12 courses. <\/em>\n<ul>\n<li><em>This does not include applied skills, and technologies courses; career education courses; physical and health education courses.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/you.ubc.ca\/applying-ubc\/requirements\/canadian-high-schools\/#british-columbia\">https:\/\/you.ubc.ca\/applying-ubc\/requirements\/canadian-high-schools\/#british-columbia<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #31c431\"><strong>University of Toronto:\u00a0 <\/strong><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li><em>We will consider a wide range of Grade 11 and 12 courses and expect to see at least six courses presented at the Grade 12 level.\u00a0 <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Particular attention will be given to marks in pre-requisite subjects and in other courses related to the applicant\u2019s intended area of study.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Calculus 12 or Calculus AP (AB or BC) is required for programs with the Calculus prerequisite<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate courses are acceptable<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Courses in Applied Skills, Career Education, Work Experience, Challenge Exams, and Co-op courses are not used for admission consideration<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/future.utoronto.ca\/academics\/undergraduate-programs\/\">https:\/\/future.utoronto.ca\/academics\/undergraduate-programs\/<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #31c431\"><strong>Second Language Requirements....<\/strong><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>It is not a High School Graduation Requirement....<strong>BUT<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Most BC Universities require students to have completed\u00a0<strong>at least<\/strong>\u00a0a Language 11 (ie; French 11, Spanish 11, Punjabi 11)<\/li>\n<li><strong>SFU<\/strong>\u00a0--&gt; will accept an Introductory Language 11<\/li>\n<li><strong>UBC\u00a0<\/strong>--&gt; requires a Language 11\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong><u>BUT<\/u><\/strong><\/em>....if you're planning on going into the\u00a0<strong>Faculty of Arts<\/strong>\u00a0(English, History, Geography, Psychology), then you will have to complete\u00a0<em>either<\/em>\u00a0a\u00a0<span style=\"color: #339966\"><strong>Language 12<\/strong><\/span>,\u00a0<strong>OR\u00a0<\/strong>complete a\u00a0<span style=\"color: #339966\"><strong>1st year language course at the University<\/strong><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>FYI...that means spending approx $1000+ for a first year language, that you will probably never use again...what's worse, taking a Language 12 course, or a University Language Course???<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #31c431\"><strong>Wanting To Go Into Business??<\/strong><\/span>\n<ul>\n<li>If you are looking at studying Business, at any University\/College, the following Courses are highly recommended to take:\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966\"><strong>Pre-Calculus 12<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0--&gt;\u00a0<strong>requirement\u00a0<\/strong>for applying for program<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966\"><strong>Calculus<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>--&gt;\u00a0<em><strong>highly\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>recommended as you will be required to take Calculus in First Year<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966\"><strong>Economics 12<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0--&gt; in First Year, you take Macroeconomics and Microeconomics<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966\"><strong>Financial Accounting 12<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>--&gt;\u00a0<em><strong>highly\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>recommended as you will be required to take\u00a0Financial Accounting\u00a0in First Year<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966\"><strong>Marketing &amp; Promotions 11 &amp; E-Commerce 12<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0--&gt; if you want to focus on anything in the Marketing realm while in the Business Program, having this course will benefit you<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #339966\"><strong>Entrepreneurship 12<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0--&gt;
