Encourage your students to apply as soon as possible. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvic.ca\/apply\">www.uvic.ca\/apply<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Supplementary application materials update<br \/>\n<\/strong>Several UVic programs require applicants to answer supplementary questions or upload specific documents (such as letters of intent, resumes and references) in addition to their regular application. Depending on the program, students may be asked to upload these materials before or after submitting their application, or to send documents directly to the department. A listing of programs that require supplemental application information is available on our website. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvic.ca\/supplemental\">www.uvic.ca\/supplemental<\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Self-reporting opens February 15, 2017<br \/>\n<\/strong>We would like to remind all current grade 12 students completing a Canadian high school curriculum or a full IB diploma at a school in Canada must self-report their grades between <strong>February 15 and March 31, 2017.\u00a0 <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvic.ca\/self-reporting\">www.uvic.ca\/self-reporting<\/a>\u00a0 The link for students to self-report will be available on the application portal beginning <strong>February 15, 2017<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>English language proficiency deadlines<br \/>\n<\/strong>All applicants to UVic (regardless of country of origin or citizenship status) are required to demonstrate English language proficiency prior to admission. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uvic.ca\/elr\">www.uvic.ca\/elr<br \/>\n<\/a>Deadlines to submit proof of English language proficiency are:<br \/>\n* \u00a0Gustavson School of Business \u2013 <strong>March 15, 2017<br \/>\n<\/strong>\u00a0 \u00a0 * \u00a0All other faculties and programs \u2013 <strong>May 1, 2017<br \/>\n<\/strong>Students are reminded that applications will not be processed until proof of language proficiency has been confirmed. They are encouraged to submit documentation as soon as possible<\/li>\n<li><strong>MyUVic accounts (NEW)<br \/>\n<\/strong>In order for prospective students to receive notifications regarding upcoming recruitment events and activities, register for events, book campus tours and receive timely reminders during key phases of the application\/admission process, they will now be required to sign up for a MyUVic account at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.myuvic.ca\">www.myuvic.ca<\/a>.\u00a0 Please encourage students who are interested in UVic to sign up as soon as possible.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ways to connect<br \/>\n<\/strong>UVic offers several ways for high school students to connect with the campus, staff and current UVic students.<br \/>\n* \u00a0<strong>MyUVic Life student blog<\/strong> \u2013 a blog written by current UVic students for students.
