Fox Theatre Visual and Performing Arts Scholarships"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6>Criteria<\/h6>\n<p>Each year, the Michael J. Fox Theatre Society selects graduating Burnaby School District (SD41) students who have demonstrated exemplary aptitude for the Arts as recipients of the Michael J. Fox Theatre Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>Scholarships will be awarded at the discretion of the selection committee based on the<br \/>\nfollowing criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrated interest, dedication and aptitude in an arts or in multiple arts disciplines, e.g. dance, drama, music, visual arts, theatre, script writing, stagecraft, directing, media arts<\/li>\n<li>History of school and\/or community volunteering<\/li>\n<li>Additional consideration will be given to students who face financial adversity pursuing their chosen post-secondary program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applicants to the Michael J. Fox Theatre Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship must be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a student graduating from a Burnaby School District (SD41) secondary school at the end<br \/>\nof the 2025-2026\u00a0 school year.<\/li>\n<li>enrolled in a visual or performing arts course in a Burnaby (SD41) secondary school for the 2026-2027 school year.<\/li>\n<li>pursuing a post-secondary Degree or Certificate in an Arts discipline.<\/li>\n<li>a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6>Value<\/h6>\n<p>TBD but worth it! Digital portfolio to QR Code.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<h6>Procedure<\/h6>\n<p>Completed Applications Packages must include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your completed Student Application Form<\/li>\n<li>Short Essay Responses (Instructions in Application Form)<\/li>\n<li>Your secondary school transcript<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0A summary of your school and\/or community volunteer activities<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Three (3) reference letters, including one from a teacher of the Visual and Performing Arts in your school<\/li>\n<li>a Digital Portfolio\n<ul>\n<li>Include up to four samples from your portfolio or a maximum 5-minute audio or<br \/>\nvideo compilation<\/li>\n<li>Please access the form to upload audition\/portfolio materials through the QR<br \/>\ncode below.
