Well.\u00a0 We have made it through September.\u00a0 School start this year was … different.\u00a0 And our school days are … different.\u00a0 And yet, it takes little time before things feel familiar, before the different doesn’t feel so different.\u00a0 This year has been a voyage without travel as we’ve all lived through unprecedented times.\u00a0 So I’ve decided that here at the Burnaby Mountain Learning Commons, although we can’t get in a vehicle and travel to other places, we will voyage around the world through story.\u00a0 Last year our Mountain Reads was:
\n\"\"<\/a>This year, we will continue reading stories from Around the World, but one continent at a time.\u00a0 During October, pick up a story from Asia.\u00a0 I have learned that Asia is not only large geographically, it is diverse in regions and countries.\u00a0 So don’t think one book covers you off.\u00a0 Choose something from the South, the West, the North, or the Southeast.\u00a0 It could be fantasy, a true story, or realistic fiction.\u00a0 It might even be philosophy.\u00a0 But let these authors tell you their stories\u00a0 and find your horizons expanding and your understanding growing as you travel with them around Asia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
