\"\"<\/a>Is anyone looking for something new to try?\u00a0 Or maybe to try again or learn more about?\u00a0 How about knitting?\u00a0 If you can dig up a pair of needles and some yarn … (ask around your family members, who knows what might be hiding somewhere in a closet).\u00a0 Knitting is easier than you would think.\u00a0 There are 2 stitches to learn and with those, you can do anything.\u00a0 And there are loads of great online tutorials: videos and documents.\u00a0 I know people love learning from videos, but I prefer a good document with pictures and text – I find I can’t keep up with the person on the video.
\nOne of my favourite design duos also has great tutorials and many free patterns.\u00a0 Tin Can Knits<\/a> is even local (although one moved to Edinburgh – lucky!).
\nFor more advanced techniques, I like Purl Soho<\/a>, which has a shop in New York City.\u00a0 They also have great patterns, some of which are free.\u00a0 If I ever get to NYC, it will definitely be on my visit list.
\nAnd of course, utopia for knitters is Ravelry<\/a> – patterns, patterns, patterns.\u00a0 And many of them free.\u00a0 My happy place.
