{"id":863,"date":"2011-07-05T15:49:08","date_gmt":"2011-07-05T22:49:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/10.155.6.59\/south-counselling\/?page_id=863"},"modified":"2021-11-23T10:03:37","modified_gmt":"2021-11-23T18:03:37","slug":"ace-it","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/moscrop-studentservices\/course-selection-2\/ace-it\/","title":{"rendered":"Youth Train\/Work in Trades"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Formerly ACE-IT<\/h4>\n<p>The Youth Train in Trades and Youth Work in Trades programs are open to students in Grade 11 or 12. \u00a0All programs include a combination of course work and work experience leading to graduation and recognized industry certification.<\/p>\n<p>All programs are considered &#8220;Dual-Credit&#8221; Programs, as students receive graduation credits, PLUS Industry credits. \u00a0Students will also acquire Work-Based Training hours credited towards apprenticeship requirements.<\/p>\n<p>If you are interested in applying for any of the programs below, you should attend the\u00a0<strong>Information Evening in January (Date TBA) at Burnaby Central Secondary School<\/strong>.\u00a0 You should also submit a completed\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/burnabyschools.ca\/careereducation\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2021\/01\/Form-Fill-Complete-Application.pdf\">Application Package<\/a> to the Moscrop Career Centre in Room 313.\u00a0\u00a0Students will also go through an interview with the Career &amp; Transitions Program Consultant and teacher.
