Integers for Gr 7 teachers–two Burnaby North teachers, Jenny Young and Jodi Drake have put together a great morning session on teaching integers using manipulatives and other strategies.<\/p>\n
A fun and engaging afternoon session will be led by UBC’s Dr. Susan Gerofsky–exploring the use of Gestures and Dance for teaching math. Participate in a dance to weave a braid.<\/p>\n
Burnaby Mountain teacher Jen Morrison is holding a morning session on Project-based-learning in math–which provides an authentic opportunity for students to connect with mathematics and develop a deeper understanding of the concepts we learn in class. <\/p>\n
