And not to forget our very own Chef Wade catering the event made it even more inviting.<\/p>\n<p>Digital citizenship is everyone&#8217;s responsibility. Earlier in the year the secondary group started. Last week was K-7&#8217;s turn. The launch started with a framework to guide the <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/digitalcitizenship\/2016\/01\/11\/k-7-digital-citizenship-initiative\/\" target=\"_blank\">Initiative<\/a>. Highlights included activities to share at staff meetings to connect teachers with experiences. Each month focuses on a specific theme with resources posted on our blog: <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/digitalcitizenship\/\" target=\"_blank\">Digital Literacy and Citizenship<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Monthly themes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>February &#8211; Relationships and Communication<\/li>\n<li>March &#8211; Internet Safety<\/li>\n<li>April &#8211; Footprints and Reputation<\/li>\n<li>May &#8211; Cyberbullying<\/li>\n<li>June &#8211; Credit and Copyright<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to schoolwide, classroom activities and contests, there are Parent Connections (activities connected to home). We even have a Twitter hashtag &#8211; <strong>#SD41DigiCit<\/strong> to share our global stories.
