Once you plug it in to charge, the blue light will flash. Lights will turn on.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure Bluetooth is on: Settings &gt; General &gt; Bluetooth<\/li>\n<li>Launch the Sphero Edu app.<\/li>\n<li>Connect\/Pair Sphero to your iPad by placing your Sphero next to your iPad- <a href=\"https:\/\/support.sphero.com\/support\/solutions\/articles\/9000060884-how-do-i-connect-pair-my-sphero-to-a-device-\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">How to<\/a>&nbsp;(may take 30 seconds up to 2 minutes). What do I do if my Sphero does not connect to my iPad? Try the following:\n<ul>\n<li>Close the Sphero Edu app and launch again<\/li>\n<li>Turn off\/on Bluetooth in Settings<\/li>\n<li>Power off the iPad and turn it back on. Re-launch the Sphero Edu app. Tap Connect SPRK+.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Go to Programs (on bottom of screen). Then tap + sign in green circle to create new program.\n<ul>\n<li>Name your program.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Choose Program Type: Draw (for younger coders), Blocks (block coding &#8211; see image), or <a href=\"https:\/\/sphero.docsapp.io\/docs\/get-started\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Text (JavaScript)<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Start coding!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tips for Students<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Change the colour of the lights in your Sphero so it is easier to identify from the other Spheros zipping around.<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>SAFETY TIP:<\/strong> <\/em>Before testing your code, place the Sphero on the floor. It is not meant to fly off the desk!<\/li>\n<li>Code a little, test a little &#8211; Create a little bit of code and test. Then code a little more and test again.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li><em>3 Before Me<\/em> &#8211; Akin to <em>&#8220;Ask 3 Before Me&#8221;<\/em> but it is spend 3 more minutes on the coding before asking for help from teacher. There is something to gain from learning to persevere for a little longer rather than asking for help once you come to a tough spot. When you reach the &#8220;I don&#8217;t know what to do&#8221; stage, then take a deep breath, and just&nbsp;try or do something, or ask a friend.<\/li>\n<li>Ask students to notice and reflect on their personal self-regulation strategies. What did they do when they started to feel frustrated? How did they manage these emotions?
