Students can then analyze the unknown words.\n<ul>\n<li>What could the word mean? Does the rest of the text make sense with this guess?<\/li>\n<li>Do they have similar roots to known words in another language?<\/li>\n<li>Look up the word in a dictionary. Is the text clearer now? What other key words need to be identified for the text to make sense?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>making connections between text content and prior knowledge. What is already known about this subject? How can this be used to better understand the text?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Reading in French is a great way to expose students to the French language.
