Intervention layers&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/fastforword\/files\/2011\/01\/question_art.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-922\" style=\"margin-left: 5px;margin-right: 5px\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/fastforword\/files\/2011\/01\/question_art-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"103\" height=\"103\" \/><\/a>A small group recently got together to tackle <strong>Progress Tracker<\/strong> &#8211; the reporting engine that provides an incredible amount of data to sift through.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some of the highlights of what was gleaned at our Interventions learning session (January 18, 2011):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prior to an intervention process, assess the situation: direct observation of student (what is s\/he doing with each element of the exercise);\u00a0 review Progress Tracker;\u00a0 make a plan to intervene <strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Condensed Report<\/strong> provides a snapshot of the students journey &#8211; not every flag is a real flag.\u00a0 Watch specifically for those percentages that are in the odd number range and especially those who end in 7 (indicates repeat of a processing level).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Participation Report<\/strong> &#8211; look for 3-5% gain. Plateaus can easily be seen here. <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/fastforword\/files\/2011\/01\/stop_watch.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-924\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/fastforword\/files\/2011\/01\/stop_watch-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"118\" height=\"118\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li><strong>Minutes and Trials<\/strong> (<em>viewed from Participation Report<\/em>) &#8211; may give you an indication of what to target. Get a trials\/minute &#8211; if plateau, it may be the student is too quick on mouse (&#8230;aah the click happy person!).\u00a0 Draw the student&#8217;s attention and action down to 5-10 trials\/minute.\u00a0 (Consider doing 20-in-a-row.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Any thoughts on this or does this bring up more questions?
