The mental health benefits of exercise. We already know that exercise is good for your body. But did you know it can also boost your mood, improve your sleep, and help you deal with depression, anxiety, stress and more? During Wellness Week, we encourage all staff to take the time and sign up for a walk with their class around Deer Lake. To take this opportunity during Wellness Week to promote the importance of exercise and taking care of your physical health and the effects it has on positive mental health!
The walk will take up to an hour, please see map below and any questions or further clarification about the route, please connect with Ms Lawrence. A kind reminder, masks and social distancing are still required .
Sign up will be available on this blog (click here) and in the Photocopy Room by the main office. Sign up spots include from May 3rd – May 7th during Wellness Week (period 1 or 2). In addition to safety measures, 3 classes can sign up per block. If spots fill up, alternative walking routes can be arranged! Once you have confirmed a date for a walk with your class around Deer Lake, please notify parents via email regarding the walk.
