This is a great chance to hear from six women who are paving the way for research in health sciences! The event is on Thursday, February 9th from 7-8:30pm<\/strong>. Registration from January 9-22. Information poster is HERE<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

At BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute<\/a>, \u00a0Women’s Health Research Institute<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services Research Institute<\/a>, we are proud to support our inspiring female leaders who are making groundbreaking discoveries and innovations in research. During this unique event, you will have the opportunity to discover the significant role women play in science and technology and explore the diverse careers available in health research.<\/p>\n

Our Women in Science evening strives to empower the community and promote an equitable and inclusive learning environment. We interpret women in the broadest sense and respect all ways in which people choose to self-identify including female-identified, agender, non-binary and women across the LGBTQIA2S+ spectrum. People of all genders are welcome to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Participate:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Participation is open to high school students, university students, healthcare professionals and members of the general public. This year, there will be two ways to participate:<\/p>\n

In-person<\/strong><\/a>:<\/strong> Engage with our inspiring leaders in-person at BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute. In-person participants will be invited to join us for a networking reception before the event for the opportunity to interact with panelists. Light refreshments will be provided.\u00a0Space is limited.<\/em><\/p>\n

Virtually Live<\/strong><\/a>:<\/strong> Engage with our inspiring leaders online in real-time.<\/p>\n

The registration form<\/a> will be posted from Monday, January 9 at 9:00 am to Sunday, January 22 at 11:59 pm<\/strong>. Participants can submit the registration form any time during this period and will be selected based on a random lottery draw.
