They will investigate the principles of psychological development, examine biological and behavioural symptoms, learn about effective interventions, and work to break down mental health stigmas.<\/p>\n<p>In a series of presentations hosted by Mini Med School Co-Deans\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bcchr.ca\/jmah\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr. Janet Mah<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0&amp;\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/bcchr.ca\/bmcmahon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dr. Bob McMahon<\/a><\/strong>, you&#8217;ll have the opportunity to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Learn more about mental health, emotional health and behavioural conditions<\/li>\n<li>Discover the newest research on how to support a healthy mind<\/li>\n<li>Interact with world-class scientists and health professionals (virtually or in-person)<\/li>\n<li>Explore the diverse careers available in science and medicine<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Please note, the Mini Med School 2022 curriculum will include topics such as eating disorders, discrimination and self-harm. We acknowledge this content may be difficult and triggering and encourage you to make your safety and well-being your first priority.<\/em><\/p>\n<header class=\"page--header\"><\/header>\n<div class=\"page--wrapper\">\n<div class=\"layout-content\"><main role=\"main\"><\/p>\n<section id=\"block-bcchr-content\" class=\"region--content block block-system block-system-main-block block--bcchr-content block--system__system-main-block\">\n<div class=\"container\">\n<article class=\"node node--type-page page--full node--full layout\" role=\"article\">\n<div class=\"container container_length_1210\">\n<div class=\"node__content\">\n<div class=\"page__body clearfix text-formatted body body--field_item field__item field\">\n<p>The registration form for Mini Med School will be posted from <strong>Monday, September 19 (9:00 am) to Sunday, September 25, 2022 (11:59 pm). This is a very popular activity&#8230; be sure to register on time.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To complete the registration form you will be asked to provide the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your name, email address, grade and school name<\/li>\n<li>Sponsor teacher name and their email address (reference letter is NOT required). It is suggested you select a science, technology, engineering, or math teacher. Your counsellor may also act as your reference.<\/li>\n<li>How you would like to participate:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bcchr.ca\/events\/mini-med-school\/mini-med-school-vancouver\/participate-mini-med-school-person\">In-Person<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bcchr.ca\/events\/mini-med-school\/mini-med-school-vancouver\/participate-mini-med-school-virtual-live\">Virtually Live<\/a>\u00a0OR\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bcchr.ca\/events\/mini-med-school\/mini-med-school-vancouver\/participate-mini-med-school-demand\">On-Demand<\/a>. You may only select ONE method of participation. Each student may only register once<\/li>\n<li>If you&#8217;re registering for Mini Med School In-Person, confirm that you are fully vaccinated<\/li>\n<li>A personal statement (150 words or less) that answers the following questions:\u00a0<em>Why are you interested in attending Mini Med School?
