This award is open to students who have faced challenges like poverty, health, family issues, personal loss and lack of support. \u00a0Please note that we have had Byrne students receive this award in the past&#8230; it is in your reach! Your story of determination deserves to be celebrated.<\/p>\n<div class=\"two-column__left\">\n<h4><strong>Coast Capital Savings is looking for youth who:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul class=\"small--list\">\n<li>haven\u2019t previously received a Youth Get It Education Award<\/li>\n<li>are Canadian citizens or permanent residents<\/li>\n<li>have been a BC resident for at least 6 months<\/li>\n<li>are graduating high school in June 2017 in one of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coastcapitalsavings.com\/SharedContent\/documents\/School_District_Breakdown_2016.pdf\">23 School Districts<\/a>\u00a0in Metro Vancouver, Fraser Valley, mid and southern Vancouver Island and Kelowna<\/li>\n<li>plan to attend an accredited Canadian university, college or technical school in Fall 2017<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"two-column__right\">\n<h4><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">How to apply<\/span><\/h4>\n<ol class=\"small--list\">\n<li>In\u00a0500\u00a0words or less, describe\u00a0how you faced adversity and overcame its challenges. Specifically, you can discuss issues like poverty, health, family issues, personal loss and lack of support. Be sure to read the details\u00a0listed on the Coast Capital Savings website here:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.coastcapitalsavings.com\/OurCommunity\/ProgramsForYouth\/YouthEducationAwards\/\">https:\/\/www.coastcapitalsavings.com\/OurCommunity\/ProgramsForYouth\/YouthEducationAwards\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Write your essay\u00a0in such a way that the committee can see that you are the best candidate.<\/li>\n<li>Submit your essay\u00a0to Ms. Falsetto by Wednesday, March 29th.
