On August 30, 1995, Stacey was struck and killed by a car while jogging in North Toronto. She was only 18 years old.<\/p>\n<p>Stacey loved life, and this annual student award encourages Canadian youth to embody Stacey\u2019s qualities and ideals, and the\u00a0overarching Parachute goal to live a long life to the fullest\u00a0while maintaining an approach that is rooted in risk management and injury prevention.
