Hello Brentwood Park Families!<\/p>\n
I have been enjoying getting to know the students, staff, and families at Brentwood Park this month. I wanted to share a couple of great opportunities\/resources for families that will be happening over the next couple of months. The first is through Family Start.\u00a0Every month, they host online events for parents & caregivers who are parenting a child or youth with a mental health and\/or substance use challenge called \u201cin the know.\u201d \u00a0The online events are facilitated by FamilySmart Parent Peer Support Workers.<\/p>\n

There are also a lot of free resources and one on one parenting support on their website as well.<\/p>\n
Our own school district is also running a workshop called: “Talking with your kids when things get hard: emotion and behaviour coaching.” This workshop is for families of elementary or secondary students. It will be hosted in-person at Burnaby Central Secondary School<\/p>\n
