\"\"<\/a>Since you can’t venture far right now, how about some virtual field trips to tame your wanderlust.\u00a0 Here are some great sites to journey through:<\/p>\n

  1. The Louvre.<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong> This enormous and amazing museum is located in Paris, France.\u00a0 Here you will see everything from paintings to ancient antiquities. (Here is the French<\/a> page).<\/li>\n
  2. Canadian Museum of History<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 A travel through time as well as space on this site based out of Quebec, available in English and French<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  3. Iqaluit, Nunavet<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 Here are some videos and maps made through Google Maps to show us a glimpse of the Canadian Arctic.<\/li>\n
  4. 360 Cities.<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 This site is a bit different because it contains panorama photos of thousands of sites around the world.\u00a0 Search using a world map, or with a descriptive word search.\u00a0 You can see 360\u00b0 from UNESCO’s World\u00a0 Heritage<\/a> sites or visit Cabo Cavoeiro<\/a>, the most western point of Europe in Peniche, Portugal.<\/li>\n
  5. Science World.<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 They are offering a number of online resources to help with your science learning and curiosity.\u00a0 Also, they have posted a number of videos of their centre stage demonstrations<\/a> that are normally reserved for visitors.<\/li>\n
  6. Great Wall of China<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 Watch a virtual tour of this world wonder with a number of options to choose from.<\/li>\n
  7. San Diego Zoo<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong> We can’t visit the zoo, but we can see what the animals are up to!\u00a0 Have a look at the live cameras streaming around the zoo.<\/li>\n
  8. Rocky Mountaineer Train<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 Take a virtual train trip on the Rocky Mountaineer through the Rocky Mountains.<\/li>\n
  9. Galapagos Islands.<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0 This is one place I’ve always wanted to visit.\u00a0 Check out the Google maps and videos of these amazing islands full of distinctive creatures.<\/li>\n
  10. Mars.<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 Yes, Mars! Look at the surface of Mars recorded by Nasa’s Curiosity Rover.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Once you’re done your field trip you can share your experience by drawing a picture of your favourite part, writing a journal entry about what you saw or even cooking a dish from the area you “visited”.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
