Therefore, if you are not a particularly gifted writer, you can still create an impressive poem.\u00a0 Often students who struggle with sentence structure or grammatical rules excel in writing poetry.\u00a0 In the video below, children&#8217;s author <a href=\"https:\/\/lizgartonscanlon.com\/books\/\">Liz Garton Scanlon<\/a>, discusses poetry, reads a poem and introduces a writing prompt for an Etheree poem.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Poetry Prompt: Writing Gratitude Etherees\" width=\"530\" height=\"398\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Tjc7XMBUWhM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Although Scanlon&#8217;s poem is very structured, it is possible to write in free verse and without much concern for punctuation, grammar or capitalization!\u00a0 For something a little more unstructured (and funny) check out <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/Tjc7XMBUWhM\">Shel Silverstein&#8217;s site<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There are also a number of poems available through the many digital book sites available for free right now, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tumblebooklibrary.com\/Home.aspx?categoryID=77\">Tumblebooks<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.getepic.com\/app\/search\">Epic<\/a>.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vooks.com\/\">Vooks<\/a> also has a lovely picture book\u00a0about the poet Robert Frost, called <em>Papa is a Poet<\/em> by Natalie S.
