Task 1: Look at the following poems.  Talk with someone about which words are alliterative examples.  ex. rain races; jumping jaguars

Task 2: Write 5 alliterative sentences.

Ex. Sticky, stinky socks surround my sons: laundry lingers. (a true story! lol)

Task 3.  Study the creature poems below.

Task 4.  Write your own creature alliteration poem. 

The criteria:

  • Your poem needs to have an illustration of your creature (designed on the computer or uploaded in a file)
  • Your poem needs to have sound focus: ex. B for Buzzlebop or a R for recticarian.
  • Your poem should be between 5 and 7 sentences and each sentence needs to focus on your creature and sound.  (see the examples for inspiration).
  • Your poem needs to be your own work, created by you!
  • Try to have some fun.
