{"id":3696,"date":"2022-06-30T09:13:47","date_gmt":"2022-06-30T16:13:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/southslope-library\/?p=3696"},"modified":"2022-06-30T09:13:47","modified_gmt":"2022-06-30T16:13:47","slug":"stop-motion-animation-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/southslope-library\/2022\/06\/30\/stop-motion-animation-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Stop Motion animation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In April of 2022, divisions 3 and 4 began a project in the library that began with Earth Day.\u00a0 We asked the students to create stories about how to take care of the earth using stop motion animation.\u00a0 First we played with the app, Stop Motion Studio, and learned how to create stories using loose parts and stop motion. Then students created a story map with a partner around our Earth Day theme.\u00a0 Next students created their stop motion animation movie.\u00a0 After it was complete they imported it into iMovie and added some slides.\u00a0 Finally we watched all their movies and the students provided feedback to one another as well as doing their own self assessment.\u00a0 It was hard work, but fun!
