{"id":232,"date":"2011-10-02T22:37:11","date_gmt":"2011-10-03T05:37:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/southslope-library\/?p=232"},"modified":"2011-10-02T22:37:34","modified_gmt":"2011-10-03T05:37:34","slug":"reading-club-begins","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/southslope-library\/2011\/10\/02\/reading-club-begins\/","title":{"rendered":"Reading Club Begins!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to the <strong>Reading<\/strong><strong> Club<\/strong>!\u00a0 Every student and staff member at South Slope\/ BCSD is automatically a member of the club.\u00a0 This year we want to put the focus on community and recognition.<\/p>\n<p>When your child student completes their reading record form, s\/h<a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/southslope-library\/files\/2011\/03\/family-reading-pic.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"family reading pic\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/southslope-library\/files\/2011\/03\/family-reading-pic.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"126\" \/><\/a>e <strong>returns the form to school<\/strong> and <strong>receives a new form<\/strong>.\u00a0 Students will be <strong>recognized individually<\/strong> on a bulletin board in the school and as a group at our Celebration of Learning assemblies.\u00a0 Students who complete <strong>250<\/strong><strong> nights<\/strong> of reading before the end of June will have a <strong>book dedicated to them<\/strong><strong> <\/strong>and placed in our school library.<\/p>\n<p>Our community goal is to <strong>\u201cRead Around the World\u201d.<\/strong>\u00a0 50 nights of reading will equal 50 kilometres.
