border-radius: 2px; box-sizing: border-box; overflow: hidden; position: relative; width: 100%; background: #F4F4F4;\">\n<h1 class=\"entry-title\">Div. 5&nbsp;<\/h1>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>For 5 sessions in term 3 Division 5 came to the library for ADST Maker Lab.&nbsp; Applied Design Skills Technologies is an important part of our revised curriculum.&nbsp; Our Learning Intentions for these sessions were to:<\/p>\n<p>1)Develop the Core Competencies of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Communication<\/li>\n<li>Personal Awareness and Responsibility<\/li>\n<li>Creative and Critical Thinking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>2) Generate ideas, make something, test it, improve it, share it, reflect on our thinking.<\/p>\n<p>Our maker lab included a variety of materials and technologies.&nbsp; These are some of the \u201cI\u201d statements they chose from to reflect on what they did in Maker Lab.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I expressed my ideas or listened to others\u2019 ideas.<\/li>\n<li>I reflected on what was easy and challenging.<\/li>\n<li>I can celebrated my efforts and accomplishments.<\/li>\n<li>I can advocate for myself and my ideas.<\/li>\n<li>I can persevere with challenging tasks.<\/li>\n<li>I can make choices that benefit my well-being and keep me safe.<\/li>\n<li>I can use strategies to find peace in stressful times.<\/li>\n<li>I analyzed our process and looked for ways (sequences) to make it better.<\/li>\n<li>I deliberately learn a lot about something so that I am able to generate new ideas or ideas just pop into my head.<\/li>\n<li>I can look at my ideas against a criteria and constraints.<\/li>\n<li>I can come up with simple stepped solutions.<\/li>\n<li>I can construct a product and make changes to make it work.<\/li>\n<li>I can reflect on my problem solving thinking process.<\/li>\n<li>I can identify new design challenges.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>During our last session students were asked to choose something they wanted to document and Ms. Keilty and Ms. Araujo took photos.&nbsp; These photos will be used for students to reflect on their learning and experiences in ADST Maker Lab.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"padding: 0; margin: 0;\"><iframe style=\"width: 100%; height: 608px;
