Students will learn both spoken and written Spanish as well as comprehension skills in the language. Knowledge of Hispanic culture will be blended with the language work.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Evaluation Guidelines:<\/strong><br \/>\nIn our language classes, evaluation is ongoing and it includes listening, speaking, reading, writing, and communicative ability. It is done individually, with partners, or in a group. Effort plays an important role in evaluation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Enjoyments about this course:<\/strong><br \/>\nStudents who are successful in this course have a positive attitude towards the Spanish language and toward learning in general, are actively involved in class, do not mind memorizing, and devote an appropriate amount of time each evening to home study.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What Careers Does this Course Prepare:<\/strong><br \/>\nLearning a second language will benefit any student in any career or profession, especially in the metropolitan areas of\u00a0Canada\u00a0where there are people from all over the world. Furthermore, Spanish is beneficial for any student planning to work in the\u00a0United States.
