HORATIO ALGER CANADIAN SCHOLARSHIPS - $5000
Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the Horatio Alger Canadian Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be graduating high school with plans to enter a post-secondary institution in the fall of 2017
- Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a degree at a post-secondary institution
- Demonstrate critical financial need ($65,000 or less annual net income per family is required)
- Be involved in co-curricular and community service activities
- Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
- Maintain a minimum grade percentage of 65
- Attend high school and reside in Canada
- Be Canadian citizens

HORATIO ALGER: NATIONAL ENTREPRENEURIAL SCHOLARSHIP - $10,000
The National Entrepreneurial Scholarships are awarded to eligible students across all provinces and territories in Canada. Entrepreneurial Scholars also receive an all expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. during the spring of their terminal year of high school to participate in a conference with their American counterparts

- Maintain a minimum grade percentage of 65
- Attend high school and reside in Canada Be Canadian citizens

Grade 12 students across Canada are invited to confess their contained financial calamity story by submitting their true-life handiwork to the CEWC 2016 Essay Contest
It’s easy. In 1000 words or less, simply share your inspiring or compelling story about what you learned from your money experience and how it changed your life. You could win $1,000, $2,500 $3,000 or $5,000!
Prizes range from $1000 to $5000, with over 20 prizes to be won
