Sauder School of Business

UBC Sauder School of Business is recognized among the Top 1% of business schools in the world.

From the Sauder School Website:

  • Sauder’s diverse portfolio of academic programs combines theory with practical application, emphasizing business fundamentals and critical thinking. We offer undergraduate, graduate, doctorate, executive education, certificate and diploma programs designed to help graduates and business professionals excel in today’s business climate

As such, Sauder can be quite competitive to get into (GPA = High 80%…but the average GPA is usually around 92%).

Any students wishing to apply for Sauder should make sure to combine their Academic Courses with their Extracurricular (Clubs, Councils, Volunteer Work, Sports, Etc.), as students will be required to complete a ”BCom Personal Profile” with their General Application.

The BCom Personal Profile plays a significant role in our admissions decisions so ensure that you take care in completing it and try to make us say “WOW!” when we read yours.

Here are some Tips to completing the BCom Personal Profile:

  • This is your opportunity to tell us about yourself
  • Tell us about some of your more significant extracurricular activities
  • Focus your attention on what you learned as a result of your experiences rather then what the experiences were
  • Keep in mind that the factors considered in the evaluation of your application include:
    • Academic performance
    • Demonstrated leadership skills
    • Communication skills
    • Goal-setting and problem solving skills
