As part of it, I will be reading <em><strong>The Voyageur&#8217;s<\/strong><\/em> <strong><em>Paddle<\/em><\/strong> by Kathy-jo Wargin and <strong><em>The Red Sash<\/em><\/strong> by Jean E. Pendziwol to the\u00a0grade 3s and 4s.<strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>These two picturebooks are about the\u00a0 Fur Trade and how integral the French-Canadians where to its success. I will be reading <strong><em>Have you seen\u00a0Josephine? (As-tu vu Josephine?\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>in French)\u00a0by Stephane Poulin, a Montreal children&#8217;s\u00a0author.\u00a0 And, of course, I will be showing the video version of that classic story,\u00a0<em><strong>Le Chandail de Hockey, <\/strong><\/em>in English<em><strong>, <\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<strong><em>The Hockey \u00a0Sweater<\/em><\/strong> by Roch Carrier to the Intermediate classes.
