We will be heading for our last visit to the public library on Friday (June 9) am. As our school library has shut down for the year, this will allow students to have silent reading books for the next 3 weeks.
Invitations went home last week to grade 7 parents, so please make sure to RSVP if you are planning to attend the luncheon with your child by June 1st. Help is also needed for setup on June 26 and 27th.

We will be walking to McGill to return, renew and get new books on Tues. May 23. We will leave at 9:45 am and return by noon for lunch. It was a great experience last time, and know the students value having access to the resources and the mature environment.
We will be walking to McGill Public Library on Friday, April 28. Students need to bring their own library card to take out books. A notice went home today informing parents of our visit Friday morning. We will be walking to and from the library, rain or shine.
We are starting to get to know our 3D printer! Students will need to set up a Tinkercad account linked to my classroom (through a code), so I can monitor what is being done. We will work through a specific project as a class, and if time allows, students will then be able to work on their own applications and

High school is around the corner for half of our class. Families will be receiving notice on January 20 if their child has been accepted to the Alpha Mini-school (BETA). As we get into winter, the beautiful yet dreaded snow days create a lot of stress and panic when needing to drive children to school. Please know that your safety is most important to me and as many of you are coming quite a distance from all over Burnaby, I completely understand if you choose to keep your children home and yourselves off the roads.
