{"id":350,"date":"2026-02-05T13:55:59","date_gmt":"2026-02-05T21:55:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/north-scholarships\/?p=350"},"modified":"2026-04-07T09:56:16","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T16:56:16","slug":"parkcrest-childrens-centre-scholarship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/north-scholarships\/?p=350","title":{"rendered":"Parkcrest Children&#8217;s Centre Scholarship"},"content":{"rendered":"<h6>Criteria<\/h6>\n<p>The scholarship is awarded to a past student of Parkcrest Children\u2019s Centre who is a well-rounded student who, while maintaining a good academic standing, has participated in school and community activities.<\/p>\n<p>To be considered for the award the student must have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0proof of attendance at <strong>Parkcrest Childcare Society (Parkcrest Children\u2019s Centre)<\/strong> for a period of at least one year<\/li>\n<li>been enrolled in a Burnaby school for the two (2) senior years<\/li>\n<li>provided evidence of volunteer or work experience, including letters of reference attesting to the student\u2019s work ethic<\/li>\n<li>been actively involved in community service and\/or volunteer work<\/li>\n<li>demonstrated good citizenship and leadership skills<\/li>\n<li>maintained a good academic standing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Note<\/em>: The scholarship monies will be paid to the recipient upon proof of registration in a post secondary institution. The recipient must be registered in a post secondary institution within 18 months of their secondary school graduation or the award will expire.<\/p>\n<h6>Value<\/h6>\n<p>FUNDS are to be determined to\u00a0 one Burnaby Student who meets the above criteria. Must provide proof of supporting documents and other pertinent information. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">This is scholarship hasn&#8217;t been confirmed so apply at your own risk!<\/span><\/p>\n<h6>Procedure<\/h6>\n<h6>DUE DATE<\/h6>\n<p><strong>By paper or email to Ms. Mihic by THURSDAY, APRIL 2,\u00a0 2026 by 3PM<\/strong><\/p>\n<h6>PROCEDURE<\/h6>\n<p>Download\u00a0 and submit all forms, in order,\u00a0 to Student Services or email to Ms. Mihic by due date.
