Matt Haig\u2019s\u00a0<em>The Humans<\/em>\u00a0is set in the perspective of an alien from the highly developed planet of Vonnadoria. He occupies\u00a0the body of Professor Andrew Martin, an English professor who has proven the Rienmann Hypothesis, a major mathematical problem that would revolutionize the world. Unfortunately, the Vonnadorians, have decided that the human species have \u201cdeveloped technology at a rate too fast for human psychology\u201d. The Vonnadorians believe\u00a0that the humans are not yet ready for this breakthrough.\u00a0Thus, as \u201cProfessor Martin\u201d, our protagonist must navigate the bizarre world of human life in order to eliminate all who know about this discovery.<\/p>\n<p>Haig presents a third-person, objective protagonist who wryly comments on the quirks of humans.\u00a0<em>The<\/em> <em>Humans<\/em> is a delightful, philosophical look at humanity\u2019s core values, including love and mortality.<\/p>\n<p><em>Join us for Vikings Talk in April when\u00a0we discuss this book!<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>the following article was written by a BNS student who writes for our student library blog, the Bibliophile.
