Geography 12
A study of the forces that shape the earth’s surface, the resulting features, and how they affect people. Students will study aspects of astronomy, oceanography, climatology, plant geography, geology and geomorphology, and examine the problems of acid rain and resource depletion and the impact of technological development. This course has a provincial exam.

(AP) Human Geography 12
This course focuses on how humans impact and interact with the world around them. The course introduces students to the systematic study of patterns and processes that have shaped human understanding, use, and alteration of the Earth’s surface. Students will employ spatial concepts and landscape analysis to analyze human social organization and its environmental consequences. They will also learn about the methods and tools geographers use in their science and practice.
