Forest Grove Elementary Parent Advisory Council (PAC) Scholarship

Forest Grove Elementary Parent Advisory Council (PAC) invites applications for its 2018 Alumni Scholarship for the amount of $500.00.

We at Forest Grove Elementary believe that a school is the heart of a community. We have a solid history of encouraging community-building through initiatives such as Monster Mash, Christmas Craft Fair, the Garden Club and the Spring Fair. While our focus is sometimes on fundraising for our children, we recognize that to develop the ‘whole child’ we must offer opportunities for, involvement, leadership and community support. We encourage connections between our school and the high school as we recognize the value of mentorship and understand the need for bridging ties between elementary and secondary school.

The Forest Grove Alumni Scholarship will be presented to a former Forest Grove student who has demonstrated a commitment to her/his community in such a manner and exhibits similar values to those expressed above.  This will be weighted in conjunction with commitment to academics as well as extracurricular activities.

provide leadership to younger members of the community as well as partnership with elder members in the same community. The student will demonstrate that atrue leader guides those who need to know, while, at the same time, learns the value in the ability to follow and learn from others.
