We had many fun activities around Halloween. We made Haunted houses with our big buddies, did pumpkin experiments and did fun activities with our family groups. All the students received pumpkins, cookies and hot chocolate thanks to the wonderful parents of Nelson!
Everyone gathered in the gym to celebrate reading. We enjoyed reading collectively to highlight the importance and value of reading for enjoyment.
We are very thankful for everything we have this Thanksgiving. We also studied cranberries through our science unit on matter. We hope you all enjoyed the sauce we made!
We also celebrated Orange Shirt Day to bring awareness to the issue of residential schools. We talked about the rights of children and the how they deserve to be treated.
Nelson always does a great job of raising money for cancer research. All the students did a great job running in the afternoon!
We started off with a very cool presentation with Cherry the cow.
We learned what cows like to eat, all about their appearance, pasteurization and we were able to see the machine milk the cow.
We have had a very busy September with many events. I hope you enjoy visiting our blog!
