{"id":1326,"date":"2011-10-10T07:21:57","date_gmt":"2011-10-10T14:21:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/learningtech\/?p=1326"},"modified":"2011-10-10T07:31:59","modified_gmt":"2011-10-10T14:31:59","slug":"whats-on-your-wall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.sd41.bc.ca\/learningtech\/2011\/10\/whats-on-your-wall\/","title":{"rendered":"What&#8217;s On Your Wall?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The wheels in my head started turning again after reading a post &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/mbteach.com\/?p=245\" target=\"_blank\">Building a &#8216;Can Do&#8217; Wall<\/a>\u00a0at\u00a0Philly Teacher. \u00a0What we choose to place on our walls reveal to the world what is important to us. \u00a0I look at the walls in my home and I notice all sorts of family photos and paintings of things that are truly meaningful and inspiring to me.<\/p>\n<p>At our school sites many things are important to share, such as our daily learning journey or discoveries that engage us to a greater action (both in class and in the wider school community).\u00a0\u00a0In the past, I&#8217;ve even been known to post my learning criteria alongside student projects (whether they are on bulletin board walls or out in cyber-world). \u00a0 I came across this poster, which reflects what I&#8217;d love my classes to be:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/digisandbox.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/09\/forecastforlearning-640x.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/venosdale\/6036615689\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/venosdale\/6036615689\/\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If I placed this poster in the middle of a bulletin board and invited students to show examples from their perspective of the day &#8211; I wonder what they would come up with? What a great environment to engage our learners (both students and teachers).
