Spring Performances Nearly Here
We are all on a break for Spring, yet we are excited about our upcoming performances.
We will perform at three elementary schools, as part of a district evening with the Burnaby Children and Youth Choirs, attend a festival, and present our own concert.
It’s been a great year!
Sound Wave at the International Conference
It seems like our time together with 750 ringers was a lifetime ago, when really it was the end of July. We were so thrilled to be asked to perform at the opening ceremonies. Click here for a video portion of our performance. For an article covering our performance click here. Many thanks to Cornelia Naylor for coming to hear us play.
Eight ringers attended as delegates and rang under the expert direction of Tim Waugh and Imran Amarshi, performing with other members of the Youth Track.
Then, for the finale number all ringers played together, under the direction of our own director – Mrs. Nordstrand.
The whole final concert can be found on Youtube here In our dress rehearsal, there were huge screens for the final concert. At the final concert After our performance at the opening ceremony.
Sound Wave version 17.0
Sound Wave Handbell Choir is up and running for it’s 17th season. We were sad to say goodbye to some graduates, students leaving Burnaby, and two who were ready for new opportunities at the end of our sixteenth season. However, we are so thrilled to welcome six brand new ringers from Chaffey-Burke, Kitchener, Stoney Creek, Burnaby South, and Burnaby North! Our veterans are doing a great job mentoring, and we are looking forward to a fantastic season.
