December was a thrilling month for us.  We won the CBC Senior Instrumental Category in their Canadian Music Class Competition.  We are thrilled, and so proud of our student arrangers of our entry.  Bravo Sonya and Rowena and all of the ringers!  A big thank you to our parents and friends who funded the production of our entry!  For the official announcement click here

We are thrilled to have placed in the top ten in Canada in the CBC Music Class in Senior Instrumental and Indigenous Languages Prize Categories.  Stay tuned for the announcement of the top three on December 17!

Our video has been posted to youtube as part of the CBC Music Class competition.  We are in two categories – Senior Instrumental, and Indigenous Languages Song.  Watch and like our video, and stay tuned for the top ten announcement on December 10.

Sound Wave met on November 22 and recorded our entry for this years CBC Music competition.  We have entered the High School Instrumental category.  Two of our ringers arranged the piece “Human” by the Canadian Group Twin Flames.  Their impressive arrangement includes many handbell techniques and chimes.  Stay tuned for our entry!  

 

Come join Sound Wave at Michael J. Fox Theatre on December 9th at 6:30pm.  Tickets available from Mrs. Nordstrand in advance or at the door at the cost of $5.  Enjoy an evening of music performed by Sound Wave and the district children and youth choirs Picolini and CoroVoce.  Hope to see you there!

We are excited to be working on our entry for the CBC Music Class competition.  Placing top ten last year was amazing!

We have talented students in our group.  Rowena and Sonya arranged our entry and Linden assisted them with entering into a software for ease of reading the score.  Now to get it recorded!
