These are three distinct peoples with unique histories, languages, cultural practices and spiritual beliefs.<\/p>\n<p>More than 1.67 million people in Canada identify themselves as an Indigenous person, according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www12.statcan.gc.ca\/census-recensement\/2016\/rt-td\/ap-pa-eng.cfm\">2016 Census<\/a>.
