Girls focused on Technological Engineering and Community Building: November 7th

Virtual engineering event geared towards young women and girls in grades 7 – 10 focused on technological engineering and community building!

“Interested in the world and work of engineering? Come join us for an event geared towards the engineering design process! Learn more from SFU engineering students about technological engineering and all that it entails. This virtual event will be hosted in partnership between the Faculty of Applied Sciences Outreach Team and the SFU Women in Engineering Club. Participants will learn more about computer and electrical engineering through online virtual simulation activities and games. Participants will also be able to learn and hear more from current SFU Engineering students and what their experience has been like in the engineering world!

This free event takes place online on November 7th from 9am – 12pm on Zoom, for young women and girls in grades 7-10 – which we interpret in the broadest sense. Registration is officially open and you can find out more information and register here: https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/go-eng-girl-sfu-technological-engineering-registration-125665656361

Spots are limited to ensure the event can be interactive and engaging while virtual. The zoom link will be sent after registering online. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to Kelly at: fascoord@sfu.ca

We hope you can join us for a fun-filled and informative morning focused on engineering and community building! See you there!”
