BC School Sports<\/span>\u00a0is pleased to announce the renewal of the following scholarships:<\/p>\n

2 x $1500 (one male and one female)\u00a0Dave<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0Gifford Memorial Scholarships.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applicants must have competed in at least two (2) BCSS approved sports during their grade 12 year. Unsuccessful applicants for the Dave Gifford Memorial Scholarship will automatically be considered for their respective Zone Scholarship. (Please DO NOT complete two applications).<\/p>\n

2 x $750 (one male and one female) Zone Scholarships.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Applicants must have competed in at least one (1) BCSS approved sport during grade 12. They must be enrolled in a BC School and must be graduating this year and will be entering their first year of full-time studies in a Canadian University or College. Applicants must have demonstrated exceptional athletic achievement in a BCSS approved sport, have a minimum grade percentage of 75% and have demonstrated outstanding service and leadership in school and\/or community.<\/p>\n

Two scholarships for $750 will be awarded for each athletic zone (one male and one female).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

6 x $1000 Bert & Quartermaine Badminton Scholarship. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

To qualify for the Badminton Scholarship, the applicant must:
\n\u2022 Have played badminton for a BC School Sports member school
\n\u2022 Demonstrate leadership and volunteerism within their school or community
\n\u2022 Plan to attend an accredited Canadian post-secondary school
\n\u2022 Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred\u00a0under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

To qualify, applicants must have competed in BCSS approved sports, specifically, girls volleyball or ultimate during the applicant\u2019s grade 12 school year. Applicants must be enrolled in a BC secondary member school, be graduating this 2018-19 school year and will be entering their first full-time studies in a Canadian University of College. Applicants must have demonstrated school spirit, a healthy lifestyle, and community involvement in order to be considered.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
